A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
